Arrival

The house itself looks unassuming, but you should know you're at the right place. You can park in the driveway, or on the street, but keep in mind Drake road doesn't have much of a shoulder. You can always call to confirm if you're uncertain about anything.

Once here, go inside the porch (sorry, it needs cosmetic updating) and ring the doorbell if no one is there to greet you. We might be setting up the room, but will get the door ASAP.

Greeting

You'll be asked to sign our standard liability waiver and be shown where you can store anything you don't want to take into the room. You're welcome to bring your phone, purse, etc into the room with you. The house is sectioned off while you're there, so you don't have to worry about taking a wrong turn. You'll basically be in one big hallway that leads from the entrance to the open escape room door.

Some people like to use hints as soon as they get stuck, others refuse to use hints at the risk of not making it out in time, and some people are still stuck to this day... Just kidding, we let everyone out in the end!

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us via email, phone, social media, or the chat feature on the website.

Escaping the room

The door to the escape room is missing the inside doorknob. It's possible to open the door by turning the knob-less stem in case of an emergency, but that wouldn't count as an actual escape. Once inside, you'll have a chance to ask your host any last minute questions, after which you'll press a green button and will be locked in. The room will proceed to give you the backstory and tell you to press the green button again to activate it and start your timer.

Escaping the room requires you to solve all of the puzzles, which are a mix of traditional and electronic locks. Compared to many escape rooms, this one is pretty dense with multiple puzzles to work through that avoid repetitive, predictable mechanisms, which is why you'll have 90 minutes rather than the more common 60. So far, no group has escaped in under 60 minutes, but some have come close.

To solve the puzzles, you'll need to find clues around the room, no prior knowledge is necessary. Some of the clues will be easy to find, while some you'll uncover as you unlock and solve other puzzles. Most clues are easily identified as clues and some are very subtle, but all require creative and critical thinking to figure out how to apply them. The story is woven into the puzzles and clues, and the mystery will be solved as you work through the room.

There is a screen in the room that will show you how much time you have left, how many official hints you've gotten, and how much of the room you've completed. The start is usually slow, but it picks up to a rapid pace leading to the final puzzle.

Someone outside the room will also do their best to follow along with your escape and offer subtle hints if you're seem stuck on the wrong train of thought. The room itself is automated and also tracks your progress so it can offer official hints anytime you want.
